Sheryl has booked us a reservation at Theo’s Restaurant in Penticton. This is a Greek restaurant but has steak/pasta/rib options. It's 3 minutes from the hotel and there is a parking lot behind the restaurant at the corner of Eckhardt Ave and Martin St.

We are excited to announce the return of the JDF Skate with Santa and Coaches game on Thursday December 11, starting at 5pm.
Players in U9 and under and invited on the ice first to have a skate with Santa. We'll have so U18 players on hand to help with skates and getting kids on the ice. Unfortunately, due to insurance, only players registered with the association will be permitted on the ice.
Skate with Santa will end at 5:50, then we'll have a quick ice clean before the main show...our (soon to be) annual coaches game!
Please bring the family out to cheer on our coaches and bring non perishable food items for the Goldstream Food Bank. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community and spread some holiday cheer.

A white elephant exchange is a holiday gift-swapping party game, where participants bring a wrapped, often humorous, gift to be randomly chosen and stolen by others.
I hope the players are getting more and more excited about our home tournament next week!
Because this is a home tournament, the kids will miss out on the fun of an away tourney (pool parties, mini sticks games in the hotel hallways…), so we thought it would be nice to have a team dinner on the Saturday after our afternoon game. This will be an opportunity for the kids to bond, and for us all to enjoy a dinner together.
I have made a reservation for 5:30pm on Saturday, December 20th at the Boston Pizza on Veterans Memorial Highway.
Boston Pizza has a set of specific rules for groups this large, and therefore I have had to choose a set menu: it will be a family style, all you can eat, pizza dinner.
They also have rules around payment and can only take 3 payments max. The team will cover the cost of the kids meals (including siblings), but adults will need to cover their dinner. Price per adult is $33. Pop, coffee and tea are included in the price per person. If some of us wish to order an alcoholic drink, there is an option to get a pitcher of beer and/or sangria and this will impact the price of your meal.
I will make a second payment to pay for the adult meals, but I would ask that you please e-transfer your meal cost to: alenoir@uvic.ca prior to leaving the restaurant. Please, add a note to your e-transfer letting me know who the payment is for (e.g.: Team Dinner - Holdaway - 2 adults)
